Why rent in Morocco rather than drive your own car

More and more MRE choose to fly and rent locally. A 2-3 week rental often costs EUR 200-400 all-in, compared to EUR 500-800 in road costs (fuel + tolls + ferry).

Average rates summer 2026

Off-season: MAD 150-250/day (EUR 15-25) for a compact. High season (June-August): MAD 300-600/day (EUR 30-60). SUV/family: MAD 500-1,000/day. Airport agencies charge 20-30% more. Book at least 3-4 weeks ahead for summer.
